Melissa Menon serves as the CMS School Director and has been a part of the CMS community for over ten years. Originally from Texas, she grew up in East Texas and went to college and worked professionally in the Dallas area. Melissa has an Associate in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Radio/TV/Film. She worked in public relations and marketing before discovering the rewards of working in the field of education.
Melissa has been with CMS since 2014 and has served as the director of the school since 2018. She holds an IMC Early Childhood 3-6 Montessori certification from The Center for Guided Montessori Studies. Her Montessori journey began more than 20 years ago when her own children joined a Montessori primary program in Texas. Since then, Melissa has worked in the classroom as an assistant in primary classrooms, a lead teacher at both the primary and the lower elementary levels, and in an administrative role as director.
Melissa loves being with family, reading, and practicing yoga. She firmly believes that a Montessori education most closely aligns with a child’s developmental stages, and that all children deserve access to a quality education.
