Life’s a Hike… One Trail at a Time
Charleston Montessori’s annual community hike series features family-friendly terrain for walking, hiking, riding and strolling in urban settings, city and state parks, nature preserves and the City of Charleston’s Neighborwoods Trails system.
Past hikes have included Sunrise Carriage Trail, Willy Shuman WAS Trail at George Washington High School, Pier-to-Pier & Magic Island, Alice Knight Trail at Coonskin Park, Kanawha City Bike Trail, Charly Jupiter Hamilton Mural, Chilton Trail, Kanawha Boulevard, CCC Snipe Trail at Kanawha State Forest, Long Point Trail at the New River Gorge and the Wallace Hartman Nature Preserve.
This year we kick off the series on Earth Day! Plan to join us and bring a friend. Hikes begin at 9 a.m.
April 22 – Wallace Hartman Nature Preserve (South Hills)
April 29 – YWCA Race to End Racism (West Side)
May 6 – CCC Snipe Trail (Kanawha State Forest)
May 13 – State Capitol Complex
May 20 – Carriage Trail (South Hills)
May 27 – Alice Knight (Coonskin Park)
